About me

Hi, I’m Dan M. Seitzinger — thanks for stopping by.

I’m a songwriter, musician, and mixed-media artist who also enjoys experimenting with photography. I write and compose all my own music, and I record, mix, and master each track myself. Creativity has always been a hands-on, full-circle experience for me.

My artwork spans both traditional and digital mediums, and I love exploring unconventional surfaces. One of my favorite projects has been painting my own custom guitars—combining my visual art with my love for music.

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, where the mix of culture, technology, and natural beauty shaped my imagination from a young age. Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and nature has always been one of my biggest influences. You’ll see that reflected in my paintings, my photos, and even the mood of my songs.

Landscapes, seascapes, gardens—being in those spaces inspires me to create. Whether it’s a melody, a canvas, or a photograph, nature has a way of sparking something new every time.

Thank you for visiting and supporting my journey. I’m always creating, and I hope you’ll come back to see what’s new.

How I Create My Art — by Dan Seitzinger

Hi there, and thanks for taking the time to learn more about how I create.
I’ll spare you the long technical explanations and just share the heart of it.

Some of my artwork is made in a very traditional way—painted or hand-drawn by hand. Other pieces are far more involved, using layers of mixed media and techniques I’ve taught myself over the years. I’ve always enjoyed figuring things out on my own and experimenting until I find what works.

I use many mediums, including oils and acrylics, but acrylic paint is what I reach for most often. It’s flexible, it dries quickly, and—yes—it’s easier to clean off my brushes. But I’m not tied to any one tool. I’ll create with whatever a piece seems to ask for.

In addition to traditional painting, I also create digital art, and sometimes I combine the two. I enjoy being able to shift between different approaches depending on the vision I’m working toward. As a mixed-media artist, that freedom to experiment is a big part of what keeps me excited about creating.

A good example is my custom-finished guitars. Those pieces often use several different materials and finishing techniques layered together to get the look and feel I want. That spirit of “let’s try something new and see what happens” runs through much of my work.

Art, for me, is a mix of curiosity, exploration, and a willingness to experiment. That’s what makes the process so rewarding.

Thanks again for your interest in my creative world.
